We’ve proudly reinvested the proceeds from our cookbooks sales – more $1 million – back into our community to support our Mission of advancing women’s leadership through volunteer action, collaboration, and training.

Talk About Good!

The original cookbook from Cajun Country, “Talk About Good!” takes you on a journey through south Louisiana’s traditions, cultural heritage, and culinary artistries of Cajun food. This versatile cookbook starts with a “roux” and ends with a gumbo!

First published in 1967, is now in its 34th printing with over 807,000 copies sold. This timeless classic is a must for all great cooks – 450 pages, hard-cover with concealed wire, and over 1,200 cross indexed recipes.

Tell Me More

A cookbook spiced with Cajun traditions and food memories, “Tell Me More” is bursting with recipes and stories chronicling Cajun ways, past and present. You’ll learn to make great dishes using basic pantry items by following recipes from legendary Cajun cooks and those of a new generation. The book features prints by the late world reknown Cajun artist Floyd Sonnier.

“Tell Me More,” first published in 1993, is now celebrating its 29th year in print and 5th reprint with over 74,000 copies sold. This cookbook features 221 pages including a hard cover with concealed wire and over 264 taste-tested and cross-indexed recipes. Winner of the 1994 Southern Regional Tabasco Community Cookbook Award.

Something to Talk About

“Something to Talk About,” the fourth Junior League of Lafayette cookbook, provides an abundance of kitchen-tested recipes from Louisiana’s Cajun Country. Menus for 12 different occasions, entertaining hints, informative sidebars, and vibrant color photography enable readers to recreate South Louisiana-style celebrations in any locale.

Published in 2005, “Something to Talk About” includes 220 pages with 230 recipes and was featured in Southern Living and Chili Pepper. It received the 2007 Writers Notes Cookbook Award, 2007 Eric Hoffer Book Award, and the 2006 Favorite Recipes Press Cookbook Award.
